Term 3 2013

Our inquiry unit this term has been "Reading for Leisure, Writing for Pleasure". On Wednesday we had a day of dressing up as our favourite book character. Here is the witch from "Room on a Broom" by Julia Donaldson -  with Patience who came as Smurfette! Princesses and fairies everywhere! The Junior School had a great sharing assembly - the Grinch was there too!!! It has been a very busy term with lots of visitors to our school, a highlight being some very enthusiastic teachers from Singapore!

Kawa of Care Workshops

All of the Year 5 to 7 students use one to one devices. We have had Kawa of Care Workshops for parents. These workshops are run by Courtney from The Manaiakalani Trust. The workshops aim to show parents how the students use the netbooks as part of their learning programme, how to help their children when they are using the netbooks at home and how to care for the netbooks.
